- Add up 12 months of kWh from your utility bills
- Divide by 365 for average daily use
- Add expected loads: EV charger, heat pump, GPU rigs

- Daily kWh ÷ local peak sun hours = array kW
- Array kW ÷ panel wattage = panel count
- Size inverter close to array kW, checking clipping
Step 3 — battery

- List backup loads and their watts
- Multiply by hours of backup needed
- Add 20% for losses and depth-of-discharge limits
